About Briana
Briana is a passionate and experienced early years education specialist dedicated to fostering high-quality educational environments for children and young people. With a diverse career in the education sector, spanning roles such as Early Childhood Teacher, Educational Leader, Centre Director, Area Manager, State Manager, and General Manager, Briana brings a wealth of expertise and a deep commitment to supporting the growth and development of children during their critical early years.
Briana holds a Graduate Certificate in Mental Health and Neuroscience and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Neuroscience. These qualifications complement her existing Masters degree in Early Years Education with a specialisation in Curriculum, Pedagogy, and Assessment. Her experience, research and education enhances her understanding of brain development in young children and informs her passion for empowering educators and teachers to embrace and support this vitally important period of development.
Briana’s philosophy centers the child at the heart of every decision, connection, and action in all education settings. She advocates for children’s agency, champions the inclusion of their voices, and embraces child-led education and care. With experience working for the Victorian Regulatory Authority, Briana has honed her expertise in quality and compliance through investigations, compliance visits, assessment and rating visits and a whole gamut of legislative processes. As a seasoned leader and mentor, Briana takes pride in teaching and guiding educators and service leaders to enhance cohesive, supported teams that flourish together. Her Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Performing Arts lends a creative and dramatic touch to her work.
In her downtime, Briana nurtures her giant Connection and Mastery Cups every day. Whether spending time with her family, diving into a new project, or challenging herself to master or learn something new, she is always finding new ways to fill those Cups. Maybe she just needs to remember that teeny-tiny Safety Cup once in a while too!
