About Our Consultancy
At Phoenix Support for Educators, we offer tailored strength-based consultancy services designed to elevate Early Childhood Education and Care services by fostering place-based outcomes that honour and support the unique needs of each community. Our approach focuses on creating collaborative, professional partnerships to improve quality practices and drive sustainable change.
Support Opportunities
Facilitators collaborate with your team to conduct comprehensive needs assessments and facilitate a whole service quality reflection process. This approach emphasises creating opportunities for services to engage in their own self-assessment, supported by facilitator observations. Together, we identify existing strengths and areas for growth, inspiring professional development, uplifting quality measures, and building team capacity through the development of new ideas, skills, and innovative practices.
We collaborate with you to set meaningful, achievable goals for continuous quality improvement, aligned with your service philosophy and community values.
Facilitate team appraisals to support leadership teams in transitioning from traditional “Performance Management Plans” to the Phoenix Professional Potential Plans, fostering growth, trust, and empowerment within the team.
Our facilitators offer targeted support for leadership teams and educators by understanding identified compliance concerns, highlighting their importance, and then repositioning them as opportunities for growth and improvement. Using positive, solution-focused approaches, we guide teams in setting meaningful goals that empower educators to enhance quality outcomes.
This process includes collaborative conversations, ongoing coaching and mentoring, and facilitated team meetings. By focusing on professional growth and capacity building, we inspire teams to deepen their knowledge, refine their practices, and strengthen their skills. Together, we foster a supportive and empowering journey toward continuous improvement
Support your team in building their capacity to develop, implement, and maintain the service’s Quality Improvement Plan, ensuring ongoing compliance, innovation, and excellence.
Our facilitators provide a supportive space for educators to reflect on their current service philosophy, helping them identify sections and language that resonate with their values. Prior to the professional conversation, services are encouraged to gather insights from families about what they value and capture the voices of children regarding what is important to them.
Through a guided conversation, teams will collate the gathered information, brainstorm service and community strengths and values, and explore theories, philosophies, or frameworks that inspire their practices. Educators will also consider how they may like the philosophy to be visually represented. This could include a dynamic display that evolves throughout the year with photographs, jottings, and drawings, bringing the philosophy to life. Alternatively, the philosophy could be represented as a metaphor, such as a tree or garden, through a community symbol like a sunset, or as a written statement displayed in a beautiful frame.
Occasionally, additional smaller meetings may be required with the service leadership team to develop the written component or graphic design of the philosophy, particularly if the service has identified this as a support need. These meetings can be arranged face-to-face or online, and can either be identified when booking or arranged at a later time.
This support is uniquely tailored to each service, and the process is co-designed to ensure an uplifting and inspiring journey that fosters team collaboration while reflecting the unique identity of the service.
