Summer Says:

Chicken expert, Summer Farrelly, is featured throughout the book in Summer Says info boxes. When Summer was 9 years old, she wanted to share how her chicken flock helped her understand social cues and situations. Being on the autism spectrum, she at times found social settings both challenging and confusing. Her chicken flock gave her a place to belong, help her build resilience, and accept who she is. Over the past few years she has achieved this and so much more.
